Our Despite brother, bassist Mathias Dagerhed, has decided to part ways with the band, due to lack of time and other personal reasons. There is no animosity between Mathias and Despite and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We still have a great reason to meet up and hang out. It’s spelled B.E.E.R.
Here follows a statement from Mathias himself:
“It’s been 4 mighty years, but I have lost the inspiration and I need to move on. I wish the guys of Despite a great journey. // Mathias \m/ ”
Despite is now actively looking for a competent replacement to fill Mathias’ shoes. We’ll keep you posted as this develops further.
This band has already walked through the flaming pits of hell and back. What doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger! Despite will continue to break new ground, just as we did before Mathias’ departure.
